This client came to me with a colour palette already in mind for her new home.
She had chosen the exterior finishes, interior details, lighting — and then asked me to help bring it all together with a furniture plan. I was excited right away.
The home is a modern farmhouse overlooking Edmonton’s river valley. The views are stunning — layers of green trees that change with the seasons — and we wanted to bring that beauty indoors. You’ll see it reflected in the fabrics and art selections throughout the home.

Art as the Starting Point
One of my favourite parts of this project was working again with her art collection. She owns several pieces from a Maui-based artist whose work we also used as inspiration in her previous home.
The blues and greens in those paintings became a thread through this space. Against crisp white walls, the colours feel fresh and alive. They connect the Alberta landscape outside with the coastal influence of the homeowners’ East Coast roots.
A Client Who Isn’t Afraid of Colour
This client is not afraid of colour — and I love that about her.
While the common areas feel airy and connected to nature, several rooms take on their own personality with wallpaper, bold fabrics, and unexpected combinations.
Her bedroom is a perfect example. She envisioned soft pink walls paired with a deep red painted bed, layered with pretty nightstands and a chest that added character. It’s romantic, confident, and completely her.
A Home Shared by Three Women
This four-storey home includes a four-season room, library, exercise room, rooftop deck, puzzle and craft room — and it’s shared by three women: two sisters and their best friend. Each has her own private space, but they gather in the common areas.
Designing for that dynamic was special. The home needed to feel cohesive, but also personal.
Quality That Moves With You
One of the most meaningful parts of this project was bringing pieces forward from their previous home.
Several items originally purchased from Cottswood were reupholstered and refreshed. That’s something we believe in strongly — investing in quality furniture that evolves with you. Seeing those pieces take on new life in a new setting speaks to timeless design and craftsmanship.

The Final Result
This home feels collected, not decorated. It honours their East Coast influence, celebrates colour, and reflects the river valley just outside the windows. Most importantly, it feels like them.
It was truly an honour to work with these clients again.
