If I had to name the theme in a few words, it would be Modern Organic Comfort: refined yet relaxed, with natural textures, warm woods, and soft upholstery that echo the landscape outside.
Throughout the home you'll find deep walnut tones, earthy rust accents, olive greens, and soft neutral fabrics that flow naturally from room to room.
Beautiful Furniture, Built for Living
The project began when the homeowners came to Cottswood Interiors for help furnishing their home as it prepared for renovation. Their priority was clear — beautiful pieces that were also comfortable enough for everyday life. Spaces that invited people to sit, gather, and stay awhile.
They had already engaged Deanna Charron Design Inc., who created a stunning mood board that captured the solid core of the house while folding in rich layers and "yummy" new flavours. I love working with Deanna — her impeccable taste boosts my creativity every single time.
Finding the Palette
The design came together in the showroom, where the clients and I explored fabrics, tested comfort, and refined finishes side by side.
Once the palette was set, much of the home fell into place quickly. A few key pieces anchored the living spaces, while custom upholstery and natural wood tables added warmth and character.
The Rooms That Anchor the Home
One of the most striking spaces is the sitting room, where a moss-green built-in bookshelf creates a dramatic backdrop for sculptural décor and our beautiful Murphey swivel chairs.
The family room, centred on a wood-burning fireplace, became an inviting retreat — anchored by the sophisticated yet exceptionally comfortable Chronicle sofa, alongside a pair of re-invented reclining chairs in a textured, rusty-orange fabric.

Delivery day is always the most rewarding moment. Our team carefully stages each piece, transforming the house from a beautiful structure into a luxuriously sun-filled home.
